Read and interpret the following quote by Benjamin Franklin. Describe what you think it means. Do you agree with it, why or why not. Share any experiences that may help you describe your view.
“Be slow in choosing a friend, slower in changing”
-Benjamin Franklin
(1706-1790)

I think that this statement is basically saying choose your friends wisely, just dont hang with people to fit in with the crowd, hang with friends that respect you,and you respect back.Choose friends that you know will be there in your time of needs, that will be behind you 100%,choose friends that are going to encourage you,and not put you down and hurt your feelings.Choose a crowd of people that know whatthey want in life, and not people that skipp class everyday, sells drugs, you dont wanna surround yourself with that type of crowd of people, surround yourself with good kids, good grades, good attitudes, kids that you have things in common with like classes, sports, college, etc.Thats the kids you wanna be surrounded by.Benjamin Franklin must have been a smart man because it seems like when he was in schools he was surrounded by a good crowd of kids his age.

In conclusion, all Benjamin Franklin is saying choose your friends wisely.
